Psychosocial factors related to adolescent depressive symptom: systematic literature review

Depressive disorder is currently ranked fourth in the world prevalence of mental disorders affecting adolescents<strong>. </strong>This position encourages author to explore depression risk and protective factors particular population. This study aimed present or protection symptom development adolescent depression. We conducted a systematic review literature searching Science Direct Springerlink inquire about relevant articles. There were 21 studies published from 2016 2020 included this study. As result, 37 categorized as psychological (personality trait, cognitive, emotion, behavior, coping strategy) social (social support, related parents, negative life events). Some are positively correlated with depression, while others negatively correlate The results aspire be intervention target for minimizing emergence symptoms by developing positive personality traits, thinking, practical strategies skills find support parenting practice.
